Jane Todd has practiced professional skin care as a California Licensed Esthetician since 1983. It is important to note that Jane is a "European Trained Skin Care Specialist." It is this distinction that separates her from most other estheticians in the field of skin care.

Jane opened her first business in 1981, Nails et al, serving the Lafayette area. In 1983, she and Marilyn Syme cofounded California Aesthetics in Orinda. As marketing director, Jane developed a nationwide network of skin care clinics and specialists to market the Dr. R.A. Eckstein Skin Care product line from Germany.

As the exclusive distributor for a European skin care line formulated in Switzerland, Jane developed professional contacts that resulted in her becoming a contributing editor to the top skin care trade journal - Dermascope.

Jane has been a self-employed Esthetician in the Lafayette area for over 15 years. Many of her 300 clients have been with her since the beginning of her first business.

From 1994 to 1996, Jane was the "staff Esthetician" for Dr. Harold D. McDonald, M.D., a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, at his office in Berkeley. She was responsible for preparing the patient's skin prior to surgery with a series of deep cleansing facials and alpha-hydroxy treatments. These treatments cleanse the skin and stimulate the circulation to promote healing without complications.

Jane has trained with the Acne Research Institute, Dr. R.A. Eckstein Institute and M.D. Formulations receiving certifications for the treatment of Acne and Photoaging Skin. She is also a graduate of the California Beauty College and Austin's World of Beauty.

As a 20-year resident of the Contra Costa area, Jane is committed to serving her community as a professional businesswoman. She is a member of the Skin Care Association, Aesthetics International Association and the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. She also works with Children's Hospital in Oakland and volunteers time with cancer patients in the area.
